Product Description:
The TVM 2.2-050-220 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. Installed in drive cabinets, it furnishes the DC bus that feeds multiple servo amplifiers. It also delivers a stabilized 24 V auxiliary rail for control logic. In multi-axis systems, that arrangement lets one module support both the main drive supply and low-voltage cabinet functions inside the same automation enclosure.
This module accepts a three-phase input of AC 220 V at 50–60 Hz, with a +15/-10% tolerance to accommodate mains variation. Internally it rectifies and smooths the incoming line, presenting a bus voltage of 300 V DC to the connected drive system. During continuous operation, the unit can source 25 A into the drive system, while a separate auxiliary output supplies up to 8 A for sensors, contactors, and fans. This shared supply arrangement helps connected servo amplifiers draw power from a common source rather than from separate line rectifiers. Configuration code 2 aligns this hardware with Series 2 control racks, and Humidity Class F together with Insulation Category C sets the dielectric spacing. The built-in fan draws 30 W, overall losses are limited to 580 W, and the housing carries an IP10 protection rating against direct finger contact.
Short-term load peaks are handled with a current of 150 A for 300 ms, which helps during rapid motor acceleration. Regenerated energy is absorbed by an internal bleeder that can dissipate up to 10 kW, and the storage capacitors can accept a maximum of 14 kWs before the resistor string engages. This keeps decelerating axes from forcing the DC bus too high during braking events. Type ratings list 50 A of nominal current and 15 kW of apparent power for typical multi-axis packages. Reliable operation is permitted at installation heights up to 1,000 m and at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C; beyond these limits, derating is required. The assembly weighs 15 kg, reflecting the heat-sink mass needed for its electrical and thermal duties.
