The Rexroth Indramat TVM 2.2-050-220 is a power supply module. It is installed in Indramat drive systems and provides DC power to connected drives. The TVM 2.2-050-220 can provide power to multiple drives installed in the drive system. The supply accepts three phase 220 Volts AC power from the AC mains supply and rectifies it to derive the DC output which is supplied to drives. If the AC mains supply is rated for a voltage different than 220 Volts AC, then a transformer will be required to step it up or step it down to 220 Volts AC which is compatible with the input of the TVM 2.2-050-220. Output rating of supply is 50 Amps when the ambient conditions are according to manufacturer recommendations. These recommendations include 5 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and maximum 3300 feet altitude above sea level.
An integrated blower is available on the TVM 2.2-050-220 for cooling. The power loss at maximum load is 130 Watts. The TVM 2.2-050-220 also requires another single phase 230 / 400 Volts AC input for the supply electronics and consumes 550 VA at maximum load. This input is converted to 24 / 15 Volts for the drive control voltage inputs. These control voltages are supplied to the connected drives through a ribbon cable. Humidity class of the TVM 2.2-050-220 is F as per DIN 40 040. The insulation class of the power supply is C as per DIN VDE 0110. The protection category of the power supply enclosure is IP 10 as per DIN 40 050. Only qualified personnel should be involved in the transportation, storage, installation and operation of the TVM 2.2-050-220 module.
