The TVM 2.1-50-220/300-W1/220/380 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It converts three-phase mains energy into regulated DC power and auxiliary low-voltage control power so that Indramat servo drives can operate from a common supply bus in automated production cells. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit bridges the AC network and the DC link, providing energy handling, braking dissipation, and line-side protection required in multi-axis assemblies.
With a nominal output capacity of 15 kW, the module converts an AC 220 V mains input into a stabilized DC 300 V bus that feeds several drives simultaneously. Its continuous current rating of 50 A indicates the amount of DC power available under steady load, while a separate 24 V rail can deliver 8 A to controller I/O and sensors. During regenerative events, the bus can withstand surges up to 150 A without shutdown. A 25 A/380 V power-section fuse, configuration 1 terminal layout, and series 2 circuitry align the unit with standard Indramat cabinets. The control logic accepts AC 220/380 V, and twin fans powered from an AC 220 V tap draw 30 W while removing up to 580 W of internal heat loss. The steel housing carries an IP10 rating and is intended for placement behind protective enclosures.
Returned mechanical energy is handled by an internal resistor system rated for 10 kW peak and 0.45 kW continuous dissipation, allowing the supply to absorb up to 14 kWs of feedback energy from rapid deceleration or vertical axis drops. Safe performance is maintained when ambient temperature does not exceed 55 °C, provided cabinet airflow remains unobstructed. The bleeder works with the capacitors to limit voltage rise, helping prevent overvoltage faults during duty cycles that alternate between motoring and regeneration. This also helps keep the power-section fuse and wiring within their thermal limits.
