The TVM 2.1-50-220/300 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. The unit feeds multiple drive controllers in an automated machine line by rectifying the three-phase mains, stabilizing the shared DC link, and delivering a regulated auxiliary bus for control circuits. In motion-control cabinets, it serves as the central energy interface, dissipating regenerated motor energy through an internal bleeder and maintaining the voltage required for synchronized servo axes. This arrangement lets several connected axes draw power from one supply stage instead of using separate line sections for each controller.

The module draws a nominal input of 220 V ±15% and can deliver a continuous bus current of 50 A. Inside, the rectifier and filter generate a DC link of 300 V ±15%, which is suitable for medium-power Indramat drives. Under rated conditions, the supply handles a 15 kW load, while the bleeder resistor converts surplus regenerated energy into heat at 0.45 kW continuously or up to 10 kW in short bursts. It can absorb 14 kWs of feedback energy before duty-cycle limits apply. A 24 V rail supports 8 A loads for control electronics with 10% standing-wave variation. During dynamic braking events, the bus can source 150 A for 300 ms, and fan cooling draws 30 W to keep internal temperatures within limits.

Total thermal losses reach 580 W, so cabinet ventilation must accommodate this heat load. The housing carries an IP 10 rating, making it suitable for closed electrical rooms up to 55 °C and at altitudes up to 1000 m, with reduced derating as altitude rises. Configuration code 1 indicates the wiring layout, and the product is Series 2. The module has a mass of 15 kg and includes lifting points for installation beside other drive system modules. Its enclosure is intended for cabinet mounting rather than open machine exposure.
