The TVM 2.1-050-W1/220/380 is a power supply module from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the TVM Power Supply Modules series. Within an Indramat drive system, it forms the regulated DC bus that feeds connected servo drives, converting incoming three-phase line power and absorbing regenerated energy during axis braking. This arrangement allows several connected axes to share one supply stage, which supports stable bus conditions during acceleration and deceleration. It is used in medium-power machining centers, packaging lines, and other automated equipment that requires stable internal DC power for coordinated multi-axis motion.

Electrically, the module accepts a nominal input of AC 220 V ±15%, which it rectifies and smooths to a bus voltage of DC 300 V ±15%. Under continuous operation, it can deliver 25 A to the DC link, while a separate 24 V logic rail supplies control electronics. Short-term motion peaks are supported by a 150 A current capability, and the intermediate current is 50 A during typical load transients. Internally, resistive elements dissipate regenerated energy, and at full load the assembly releases up to 580 W of heat. A built-in blower provides forced airflow, and its fan section consumes 30 W to keep power components within their intended temperature range.

The unit can draw up to 15 kW of mains power and continuously dissipates 0.45 kW through its braking resistor while absorbing as much as 14 kWs of feedback energy from decelerating axes. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to +45 °C, and installation is allowed at heights up to 1000 m before output reduction is required. Protection class IP10 indicates an open-style design for cabinet mounting, so the module is intended for installation inside a protected electrical enclosure.
