The TVM 2.1-050-W1-115 is a power supply module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. As a regulated DC source, it supplies link-circuit energy to compatible drive controllers and supports coordinated axis motion in automated machinery. Its function is to create and stabilize the DC link used by connected servo electronics rather than drive a motor directly. The unit is a Power Supply Module with IP10 protection and is identified as configuration 1 in version 2. It is intended for use where several amplifiers share the same DC supply section.
This module delivers a continuous output of 25 A to the DC bus from an internal link circuit of DC 300 V, which is generated from a three-phase or single-phase mains connection rated at AC 220 V. For transient load spikes, the current can rise to 50 A, and the built-in bleeder resistor absorbs 0.45 kW continuously to control intermediate-circuit voltage during regenerative operation. During rapid deceleration, the supply can furnish a peak of 150 A for 300 ms before thermal limiting reduces duty. The module also provides secondary rails of -15 V at 1.0 A, +15 V at 0.9 A, and +24 V logic at 8 A. A 2% standing wave ratio on the ±15 V rails keeps ripple low, and the feedback channel can return up to 14 kWs to the bleeder without an external braking resistor.
The supply is rated for a type power of 15 kW, giving enough capacity for multi-axis installations that share a common DC source. Internal dissipation is limited to 580 W under worst-case conduction and switching losses, so cabinet cooling must remove that heat during continuous operation. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, which allows the module to run in warm control cabinets when airflow is sized appropriately. In shared enclosures, nearby drive hardware should also be considered when calculating the total heat load.
