The TVM 2.1-050-220/300-W1-115-220 power supply module from Bosch Rexroth is operated in conjunction with AC servo drives by the same manufacturer. This module along with a servo drive and an AC servomotor forms a modular AC drive system. A single product can meet the requirements of multiple drives with varying power requirements at a time. The device encompasses a wide range of monitoring functions. It features a power rectifier integration for converting its AC line voltage and rendering the DC bus voltage for powering the drives. The unit provides the signal voltage to connected AC drives through a wire ribbon cable.
The modular drives used with this power supply module can be used to meet the continuous mechanical power requirement of a maximum of4.1W. The product features a control voltage fuse and two line-input fuses on its front panel at the bottom. The ready-state contact of the device is capable of activating the dynamic braking function when there is a problem or failure in the related drive of the electronic system. This function causes the drives connected to the module to stop operating and come to a standstill mode. The unit features a line code of 2 and a design code of 1.
The power supply comes with LED displays to assist in speedy troubleshooting. The DC bus circuit of this module stores the energy of the drive that can be reused for acceleration. The product supports a line voltage rating of 3 x 220VAC (+/-15%) or 3 x 230VAC (+10%/-15%). This line voltage is adaptable to its connection voltage with the help of an autotransformer. The front panel of the device incorporates a RESET button right above the diagnostic display. The auxiliary capacitance of the module must be designed with 15% overvoltage support if the power supply unit does not have a regulated bus.
