Product Description:
The TVM 2.1-050-220/300-W1/115 is a power section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series, and it is version 2. Within an automation cabinet, the unit converts incoming AC power into regulated DC energy for compatible Indramat drive controllers and also provides auxiliary logic voltages. Positioned at the front of a drive stack, it manages energy flow between the mains, the DC bus, and braking components during servo acceleration or deceleration. This arrangement allows one module to supply the shared DC link while also supporting the electronics needed for drive coordination.
This module uses configuration 1 and accepts an input of AC 220 V with a permissible deviation of +15/-10%. Line frequency compatibility spans 50...60 Hz, and a built-in blower removes heat from the power section. After rectification, the DC bus is held at DC 300 V. From this rail, the unit can deliver a continuous output of 25 A, while the type current is 50 A and short bursts can reach 150 A for 300 ms during acceleration peaks. A continuous bleeder rated at 0.45 kW dissipates regenerated energy and works with a feedback capacity of 14 kWs. Separate low-voltage supplies provide +24 V at 8 A and -15 V at 1 A for control electronics, and the electrical insulation is category C with an overall voltage tolerance of ±15%. The type power rating corresponds to 15 kW drive groups.
Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level inside enclosures with IP10 protection, and ambient air can rise to 55 °C before derating is required. The frame weighs 15 kg, so the mounting structure must support that static load. It interfaces with TDM and KDS drives through prefabricated bus bars, and the stated altitude and temperature limits help maintain stable insulation and bleeder performance.
