The TVM 1.2-50-220/380 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It converts three-phase mains energy into stabilized DC power for drive controllers installed in an Indramat automation rack, while also supplying the auxiliary low-voltage rails required by control electronics. By combining the drive bus and support voltages in one housing, the unit simplifies cabinet wiring and serves as the central power source for servo drives and controller cards used on assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling axes.
The module draws up to 15 kW from the mains and can deliver a rated output bus current of 50 A to connected drives. Internally, it maintains a link voltage of DC 300 V with a permissible deviation of ±15 %, which helps keep the connected electronics within their operating range during line dips or surges. A short-term overload of 150 A is accepted, allowing rapid motor deceleration without immediate tripping of the supply stage. Two symmetrical ±15 V rails provide 0.85 A each for sensor electronics, while a 24 V rail supplies 4 A for control relays; ripple on the 24 V line is limited to 10 %, and ripple on the ±15 V rails is limited to 2 %. The unit is configuration level 2 and hardware series 1, and the insulation system is rated to category C.
The peak current can be sustained for 300 ms, after which the continuous bleeder absorbs regenerated energy at up to 0.30 kW and protects the bus capacitors. Regenerative peaks not exceeding 14 kWs are returned safely to the supply, which supports braking on large inertial loads without overstressing the DC bus.
