TVM 1.2-50-220/380 is a TVM series power supply module. It is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Nominal input voltage rating of the module is 220 Volts AC. An autotransformer is required if the input of the supply is connected to AC mains with a voltage rating that differs from the voltage supported by the supply module. The module can be connected directly to grounded AC supplies. However, when connecting to ungrounded mains, Bosch recommends using an isolation transformer for safety reasons. Wall mount and floor mount autotransformers and isolation transformers are available. A rectifier on the supply module converts the three-phase AC input to DC output. This DC output is supplied by the module to connected drives for the drive electronics and motor power. One TVM supply can provide power for multiple industrial drive units. Nominal output current of the TVM 1.2-50-220/380 module is 50 Amps. Rated output is only possible when ambient conditions comply with manufacturer recommendations. Bosch recommends 5 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude for rated output. The supply output derates if either the temperature or altitude exceeds these specified limits. Derated output is permitted for temperatures up to 55 degrees and altitudes up to 5000 meters. A blower is installed on the TVM 1.2-50-220/380 supply module. This blower increases airflow to improve heat dissipation. Adequate spacing on all sides of the mounted power supply is also required for maintaining ambient temperature within prescribed limits. Protection rating of the TVM 1.2-50-220/380 module is IP10. As the housing is not protected against dust and moisture, the module can be used indoors. Outdoor use is only possible when the unit is installed inside a cabinet that provides adequate environmental protection.
