The TVM 1.2-050-220/300-W0/115/220V is a regulated power supply module built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It converts incoming AC power into a stabilized DC link and also provides low-voltage supply rails for connected control electronics. In automated production lines, it supports servo drives and motion controllers that require a steady shared bus across multiple coordinated axes. By buffering regenerative energy and conditioning the mains input, the module suits multi-axis systems used in packaging machinery, machine tools, and material-handling equipment.

The supply draws 220 VAC nominally and delivers a continuous output current of 50 A, which indicates the average bus load it can support without derating. Its thermal design supports shaft power transfer of 15 kW at rated conditions, while internal capacitors maintain a DC 300 V link so inverters receive stable voltage during dynamic motion. For short bursts, the module can furnish 150 A for 300 ms, allowing acceleration peaks without requiring external capacitor banks. Excess kinetic energy recovered during deceleration is dissipated through a brake resistor that tolerates a 10 kW bleeder peak, which helps prevent overvoltage when heavy loads stop. The unit can absorb 14 kWs of feedback energy before saturation.

Two auxiliary rails support control electronics used by the drive system. The 24 V utility line can source 4 A, and the symmetrical ±15 V supply provides 0.85 A for analog sensors, feedback cards, and similar low-power circuits mounted in the same enclosure. The housing meets IP10, so the module must be installed inside a closed cabinet with guided airflow and protection from accidental contact. Reliable operation is permitted up to an ambient temperature of 55 °C, with reduced output data above 45 °C.
