The TVM 1.2-050-220/300-100/115/220 power supply module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series, and it is in Series 1 within that product line. In a multi-axis drive system, this unit converts three-phase mains energy into a regulated DC bus, providing a common power source for servo drives and bleeder operation. Its task inside an Indramat automation rack is to stabilize the intermediate circuit voltage, deliver controlled current to connected drives, and dissipate regenerative energy so that axes can accelerate and decelerate without separate supply units.

The module is rated for a continuous output current of 25 A, allowing several medium-power drives to operate simultaneously from the same DC bus without current foldback. It accepts an input voltage of AC 220 V across all three phases and operates on standard industrial mains at 50/60 Hz, so no transformer is needed in most plants. Line variations are absorbed through an input tolerance window of +15/-10 %, which helps prevent undervoltage trips during brownouts and limits overvoltage stress during high supply periods. Excess kinetic energy from motor braking is routed to an integrated bleeder rated at 0.30 kW, enabling continuous regeneration without external resistors for lighter loads. Short-term surges are handled by a type current capability of 50 A, giving additional headroom for rapid axis acceleration before the continuous rating resumes. The control electronics match configuration code 2, which identifies the wiring points and monitoring contacts used in the TVM family. The bus voltage sensor follows a separate allowance of ± 15 % so downstream drives receive accurate overvoltage protection during operation.
