Product Description:
The TVM 1.1-050-220/300-W1 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TVM Power Supply Modules series. It converts plant-level AC input into a regulated DC link and also provides auxiliary logic rails for connected drive electronics. This arrangement supplies the shared energy backbone required for coordinated industrial motion and helps absorb regenerative energy returned from decelerating axes within multi-axis systems.
At the input, the module accepts AC 220 V lines that may vary by +15% or -10% and operate at 50/60 Hz, which matches common plant power grids while limiting stress on internal components. Inside, a chopper produces a DC 300 V bus that can deliver 25 A continuously and up to 150 A for 300 ms, giving connected drives the surge current needed for rapid acceleration. The module is series 1 with a type current of 50 A, and thermal dissipation is limited to 550 W through a built-in blower whose fan draws 30 W. Two ±15 V rails each supply 0.85 A with 2% ripple, and a 24 V low-level bus supplies 4 A with 10% ripple. A bleeder network removes regenerative peaks and dissipates 450 W continuously, while the module can absorb 14 kWs of feedback energy before an external brake chopper is required.
Configuration 1 reserves operating headroom for transient loads. The bleeder stage can dissipate 10 kW in short bursts, which helps keep the DC link within safe limits when large masses decelerate. The module is rated for 15 kW of output power, allowing several servo inverters to share the supply without exceeding thermal margins. Bus voltage deviations of ±15 % are tolerated, giving added flexibility where mains stability is uncertain. The metal enclosure and blower assembly bring the total mass to 15 kg, which is suitable for standard control-cabinet rail mounting.
