Product Description:
The TVD 1.3-08-03 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TVD Power Supply Modules series. It converts three-phase mains energy into a stabilized internal DC bus for Indramat drive controllers, and it also furnishes multiple low-voltage rails that feed the controller electronics. In an automation cabinet, this module keeps the common DC link at its rated potential, accepts regenerated energy from connected servo axes, and dissipates surplus power through an integrated bleeder circuit. This arrangement lets several connected components share a common power source while supporting stable control operation throughout the drive system.
The DC link is held at 320 V, giving downstream inverters a fixed voltage reference for rapid torque commands. Continuous power that can be drawn from the bus is 7.5 kW, while short 0.3-second surges up to 22.5 kW cover acceleration peaks without a voltage dip. Mains loading is limited to 300 VA, so cabinet feeders can be sized accordingly. Internal conversion losses are specified at 75 W, and this heat must be removed by enclosure airflow to avoid thermal derating. The module also provides +15 V, -15 V, and +24 V auxiliary outputs, and each rail includes ripple limits of 0.1% or 2% to help prevent noise from propagating into encoder or control circuits.
When regenerated energy rises above the storage capacity of the DC link, a bleeder resistor absorbs it continuously up to 0.5 kW and in bursts up to 20 kW, protecting the bus from overvoltage. For every kilowatt drawn from the DC link, conversion waste is only 14 W/kW, which supports efficient system operation during sustained use. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures as high as 55 °C with linear derating beyond 45 °C, and the IP10 housing requires installation inside a closed control cabinet. Maximum relative humidity of 95% non-condensing, a 30 kWs regenerated-energy limit, and a mass of 10.5 kg set the operating and installation limits for the module.
