Product Description:
The TVD 1.2-08 is a regulated DC power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the TVD Power Supply Modules series. It links the facility mains to the shared DC link that feeds multiple digital drive controllers, converting incoming three-phase power into a constant high-voltage rail while also furnishing several auxiliary logic voltages. It is design version 2 within series 1 of the supply family. Within an Indramat motion cabinet, this module forms the power backbone that allows synchronous and asynchronous axes to operate in coordinated industrial automation tasks.
The DC bus produced by the module is stabilized at 320 VDC. Under continuous duty, the supply can deliver up to 7.5 kW to the drive string, and it is rated for a short-term burst capability of 22.5 kW to support acceleration demands. Excess regenerative energy is absorbed by the integrated bleeder resistor, and its transient absorption ceiling is 20 kW. The unit also provides auxiliary outputs for axis electronics, including +24 V, +15 V, and -15 V rails, so connected control sections can receive the low-voltage power they need from the same module. For its own logic, the assembly draws 300 VA of control power.
At full electrical output, the converter sheds 180 W of heat, so forced-air flow across the heatsink is recommended. The module may be operated in ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, which suits typical sealed control cabinets. Its steel housing stands 390 mm tall and occupies 150 mm of panel width with a depth of 325 mm, allowing placement beside other TVD units on a standard mounting rail. A shipping mass of 10.5 kg gives the module a solid installed feel while remaining manageable during cabinet assembly. The combination of regulated DC output, regenerative energy handling, and onboard auxiliary voltages makes it suitable for centralized supply duty in multi-axis drive systems.
