The TVD 1.1-08-03 is a TVD series power supply from Rexroth Indramat. Salient features of the supply include direct mains connection, integrated contactor, internal DC bus dynamic braking, regulated DC bus voltages, support for multiple drives, easy maintenance and overload capability. TVD series supplies are made according to the UL standard. Continuous DC bus power, which the supply can provide for durations exceeding 10 seconds, is 7.5 kilowatts. The TVD 1.1-08-03 can provide 200% of rated power for 3 seconds to accelerate spindle drives. The supply can also provide 300% of rated power, or 22.5 kilowatts, for 0.3 seconds to accelerate feed drives. These power ratings should be taken into consideration during the project planning phase. As the current consumption is regulated, the TVD 1.1-08-03 offers lowest possible mains loading without reactive current.

DC bus voltage on the TVD 1.1-08-03 is 320 Volts. As current regulators in switched mode power systems cause perturbations, the TVD 1.1-08-03 supply is operated form the main supply via auxiliary devices. These auxiliary devices are available as either individual components or as compact mains connection modules. Needed components such as storage capacitor, bus smoothing choke and commutation choke are part of the mains connection module which leads to simplified installation. The TVD 1.1-08-03 is designed for direct connection to a three-phase input at 380 to 480 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz line frequency. The supply can tolerate maximum 8 milliseconds voltage interruption at base load and 380 Volts main voltage without additional capacitance. A timespan of greater than 1 second should available between sequential input voltage interruptions. The TVD 1.1-08-03 can sustain 20% dips in the peak voltage for maximum one period.
