Product Description:
The TDA 1.3-100-3-D00 is a main spindle controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the TDA Main Spindle Controllers series. Intended for CNC and machining-center cabinets, it converts high-resolution speed words into power-stage firing signals so a spindle motor follows programmed velocity profiles. This controller bridges the numerical control and the motor by handling command and feedback signals along with the large armature currents required for precision cutting and drilling tasks.
Electrically, the unit can deliver a rated armature current of 100 A, while its thermal design supports continuous operation at 70 A. Energy resides on an intermediate bus held at 300 VDC, and spindle velocity is selected through a 16-bit parallel speed word carried on a 25-pin digital connector. Internal electronics draw 160 mA from the ±15 V test supply and 1.4 A from the 24 V control rail, allowing diagnostics to remain active when the power section is isolated. There is no additional encoder channel or auxiliary interface, which keeps wiring straightforward and routes all position feedback through the standard spindle encoder link.
For cabinet layout, the housing measures only 52.5 mm in width and stands 390 mm tall, enabling several axes to be installed side by side in the required vertical orientation. Its mass of 10.5 kg supports handling while providing sufficient thermal inertia. An enclosure rating of IP10 restricts use to clean, forced-air electrical rooms. Rated output is maintained up to 40 °C, after which derating applies until the permissible ceiling of 55 °C. Operation is allowed to 1000 m above sea level without performance adjustment.
