The TDA 1.3-100-3-APD is the main spindle controller that is used for advanced motion control applications in the industry. The device enables operation across a wide speed range. The 2AD asynchronous motors and the 1MB frameless motors are coupled with this system for precise motion control applications. These motors have a continuous power in the range of 3 kW to 10 kW. The drive controller is very capable when it comes to accurate spindle positioning. With its internal position controller, the device can automatically position the spindle with considerable precision. This model is distinguished because of its high stiff response that significantly improves the drive controller’s position control capability. The spindle positioning can be achieved with an accuracy of 1/4000 000 revolutions.
The TDA 1.3-100-3-APD has a smart internal position control loop that is augmented by the control loop of the motor. For feed axes, the device is capable of operating in conjunction with other drive controllers. The main spindle drive can function as a C-axis with a high accuracy position control loop. Rotor position can be detected and controlled at extremely low speeds. The rotor position is detected with an accuracy of 1/2000 000th revolution. The device is capable of integrating with additional interfaces. The incremental encoder output can be interfaced with this device. The encoder is used for position control in C-axis mode for operations such as thread cutting. For loading and saving drive parameter values using a computer, a serial interface can also be coupled with this drive controller.
