Product Description:
The TDA 1.1-100-3-LP0 spindle controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDA Main Spindle Controllers series. It regulates synchronous or induction spindle motors on CNC machining centers, providing closed-loop velocity and position control so that the cutting process matches programmed tool paths and feed rates. This unit forms the interface between the motion program and the power section, converting numerical commands into precisely timed current pulses.
At the power stage, the controller delivers a continuous output of 100 A, supported by an intermediate circuit rated at 300 VDC. Speed references arrive through the SERCOS optical ring at the X4 light-wave connector, and the drive translates those commands into position increments as fine as 1/4,000,000 rev. Rotor position data enters through the X3, 15-pin IKS 315 feedback plug, while an additional X5 15-pin port is available for a secondary encoder on a spindle or auxiliary axis. The X2 37-pin IKS 610 connector links the unit to the numerical control system for parameter and diagnostic data transfer. This signal layout helps the TDA unit maintain smooth torque production across its full speed range.
Thermal management is handled by an external blower that operates on 220 VAC, allowing the controller to dissipate heat when installed in its required vertical orientation. The internal resolver tracks shaft displacement to 1/2,000,000 rev, supporting contouring applications that demand very fine positional control. Protection is limited to IP 10, so the unit must be mounted inside a closed control cabinet and below a site elevation of 1000 m to maintain insulation clearances. Even with these limits, its 10.5 kg housing remains manageable for panel mounting, and communication is handled through the listed control and feedback connections.
