The TDA 1.1-100-3-L00 is a main spindle controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the TDA Main Spindle Controllers series. In an automated machining cell, it sits between the process controller and the spindle motor, translating digital speed references into regulated phase currents so the spindle accelerates, holds speed, and brakes with repeatable accuracy. The controller receives velocity commands through a SERCOS fiber ring that terminates at the X4 light-wave conductor port, while rotor position is returned over the X3 15-pin motor-feedback connector. It delivers a continuous effective output of 70 A and can reach a peak current limit of 100 A for short acceleration intervals. These currents are drawn from a shared link circuit that operates at 300 VDC, and internal measurement rails supply ±15 V with a test draw of 160 mA for signal electronics. Cooling air is pulled through the drive section from inside the control cabinet, allowing heat to be expelled by the cabinet ventilation system. No auxiliary encoder input or optional interface is fitted, which reduces wiring complexity and keeps the unit self-contained.
When powered by the machine’s 24 V service supply, the logic section needs just 1.4 A, which helps limit standby consumption during program pauses. The drive keeps full ratings up to a cabinet temperature of +55 °C and maintains performance at installation heights no greater than 1000 m above sea level.
