Product Description:
The TDA 1.1-100-3-AY0 belongs to the TDA Main Spindle Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed between a CNC control and the machine’s main spindle motor, this unit regulates speed and torque so cutting processes remain accurate during acceleration, deceleration, and changing load conditions. It is intended for vertical mounting in an enclosed cabinet, where the IP10 housing is protected from direct contact while remaining suitable for integrated drive layouts.
The controller draws a rated current of 100 A during peak spindle demand, and its thermal design supports a continuous output of 70 A during extended machining cycles. Internal power is based on a 300 V DC link supplied by the drive converter and stabilized by cabinet-mounted capacitors, while speed commands are accepted as an analog ±10 V reference for straightforward connection to compatible CNC systems. Logic electronics and fan relays are supported by a 24 V auxiliary rail that can deliver up to 1.4 A, and a separate 15 V test rail draws 160 mA when diagnostic probes are connected. Cooling relies on filtered air circulating inside the cabinet, so no external heat sink space is required, and the 10.5 kg mass keeps the unit manageable during installation.
Position feedback is processed through an incremental encoder with sync input, allowing phase-aligned vector control with high-resolution speed and position data. Internally, the rotor is tracked to 1/2,000,000 of a revolution, and spindle orientation routines can reference the workpiece to 1/4,000,000 of a revolution, which supports thread cutting and repeatable tool-change positioning without mechanical cams. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and reliable temperature performance is maintained up to +55 °C. No additional communication interface is fitted, which keeps wiring simple and limits extra connection points inside high-vibration machine cabinets.
