Product Description:
The TDA 1.1-100-3-AP0 is a main spindle controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the TDA Main Spindle Controllers series. It regulates the torque and speed of high-performance spindle motors in CNC and machining centers by processing velocity or torque references from the machine control and driving the connected power section accordingly. It is intended for spindle applications that require stable speed control during cutting, drilling, and other precision machining processes.
An internal ±15 V supply delivers 160 mA, while the 24 V logic rail draws 1.4 A, allowing low auxiliary power demand inside the cabinet. The drive accepts a command value of Analog ±10 V, so standard motion cards can provide setpoints without a digital bus. For continuous operation, the power section handles 70 A effective motor current, and it can reach a rated pulse current of 100 A during acceleration. Energy is stored on a DC link with a nominal voltage of 300 VDC. An additional encoder input is available for secondary position feedback, but no supplementary serial or fieldbus interface is installed. Cooling uses an air-inside-cabinet arrangement that relies on enclosure airflow rather than a separate heat-sink duct.
Mechanical dimensions include a depth of 355 mm, allowing row mounting beside other TDA units in a cabinet. The aluminum housing and power stage bring the mass to 10.5 kg, which helps keep handling manageable during placement. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP10, so the controller must remain inside a closed electrical cabinet. Reliable operation is specified up to 1,000 m above sea level, with full current capability available until the ambient air reaches +55 °C. Power terminals are placed on the front to help maintain cabinet wiring clearance, and the lack of an additional interface keeps harness routing straightforward.
