The unit conditions drive power and position feedback so that high-speed machine-tool spindles can be started, ramped, and held precisely during cutting or grinding cycles. By translating analog velocity references into controlled three-phase output, it links CNC command levels to the electromechanical demands of an induction or synchronous spindle motor.
The power section delivers up to 50 A and can sustain 35 A continuously; these current limits set the thermal load that cabinet ventilation must remove. Internal capacitors operate from a DC-link potential of 300 VDC, allowing the inverter bridge to modulate a wide speed range. A ±24 V logic rail draws 1.2 A from the control bus, isolating signal electronics from the power stage. Velocity references enter as a differential analog ±10 V signal, and actual speed is returned over an incremental encoder channel.
