The Bosch TCM 2.1-01-7 is a link capacitor module. It is designed to be used for eliminating mains noise when the link circuit power exceeds 15 kW. Capacitance of the TCM 2.1-01-7 is 1 mF. The weight and dimensions of the capacitor are 6 kilograms and 355 x 208 x 100 millimeters. The TCM 2.1-01-7 is compatible with the supply module having catalog number KVR 1.3 which is one of the two parts of Indramat AC drive system. The other part of the Indramat AC drive system is the drive module. The power supply which forms part of the drive system provides DC voltage for the electrical power supply and the control voltage for connected main and servo drive modules. The power supply rectifier module converts AC voltages to DC voltages. The power supply acts an in inverter when the drives are generator-driven.

Buffer capacitors are used to provides additional smoothing. The Indramat KVR power supply is capable of feeding regenerated energy created by braking of the motors back into the mains supply. The continuous regeneration can go up to a maximum of 20 kW. Performance of the KVT supply can be adapted according to applications demands through the use of optional components such as smoothing choke, commutation choke, link capacitors and bridge capacitors. Environmental specifications for the TCM 2.1-01-7 include storage and transportation temperature range of -30 to 85 degrees Celsius, working temperature range of 5 to 55 degrees Celsius, maximum installation altitude without derating of 1000 meters, maximum 95% permissible relative humidity, maximum 25 g water / m³ of air permissible absolute humidity and IP10 enclosure rating as per DIN 40 050.
