As a compact rotary actuator, it converts controlled stator currents into mechanical torque for precise position or velocity control in automated tooling, assembly equipment, and handling stations. An integrated resolver provides electrical feedback, allowing the associated drive to close motion loops with minimal latency and strong immunity to electrical interference.
At a rated speed of 6000 rpm, the motor supports high-cycle operations that require rapid indexing without overspeeding the mechanical drivetrain. The electromagnetic design provides a torque constant of 0.74 Nm/A, so each ampere supplied by the drive contributes predictable torque for feedforward control. The resolver provides an interpolated resolution of 8192 increments per revolution and an accuracy of ±10 angular minutes, giving the controller fine positional granularity during movement.
