The SOT02-E2R-FW operator control panel has been manufactured by Rexroth. The control device is used to operate the DLC and provides much more features than the original DLC control panel. When using the SOT, operators can use the same input functions as provided by the DLC control panel. The device has been designed for remote connectivity with the DLC. The device can be connected at a distance of over a 1000 meter through an RS485 cable. This operator control panel features an excellent non-glare display with a wide viewing area (4-7/8" by 2-3/4"). It uses the cold cathode fluorescent lamp for illumination. The display contrast can be adjusted as required. The device can be customized according to specific requirements. Using the Screen Manager software, additional customized screens can be set up.
The SOT02-E2R-FW significantly increases the operator’s awareness by providing real-time updates on system status and errors. If the required conditions for executing an operation are not met, the SOT signals a minor error. Hard errors are signaled when an error damage equipment or cause injuries to the machine operators. The operator panel also indicates in case of an invalid drive software, invalid drive configuration, drive error, drive axis hardware fault, and measuring wheel encoder fault. Operators are also intimated if errors that inhibit the standard operations of the machine. If a drive is not enabled or an axis doesn’t reach the correct position, the SOT displays warning messages. Warning messages are also displayed if the feed angle is missing, feed length exceeds the maximum, or feed length is less than the minimum.
