The SOT02-E2R-CR is an operator control panel that can be mounted remotely. The operator panel is used with the DLC and has more features than the DLC’s own control panel. The SOT can be mounted as far as 1000 meters away from the DLC through an RS-485 cable. The device allows the same input functions as the original DLC control panel. It also displays the same information and contains additional features as well. The station operator terminal can be used flexibly and can be programmed as per the required functions. For DLC-R type functions, however, no additional programming is required. Indramat’s Screen Manager software can be used for programming if additional customization is required. The Screen Manager is a command-line editor and is operated using a DOS-based computer.
The SOT02-E2R-CR’s keypad consists of click contact keys that can be used for mode selection, cycle start/resume/stop, and axis jog in forward and reverse direction. With its 4-7/8" by 2-3/4" display, the software operator panel offers much more information on display than other control panels. It has a glare-free screen and screen contrast can be adjusted by the user. The display is illuminated using a cold cathode fluorescent lamp. The SOT indicates warnings for motor overtemperature and amp overtemperature. Other errors like DLC system error, zero feed length, zero federate, disabled drive, and faulty axis position are displayed on the panel's screen. To improve the operator's awareness, hard faults and soft faults are instantly indicated by the SOT panel. Users are also intimated in case of drive error, invalid drive configuration, and invalid drive software.
