This brushless synchronous drive element converts high-voltage DC energy into controlled rotary motion for precise positioning tasks in automated production cells. During operation the motor is supplied from a DC bus at 670 V; the sinusoidal back-EMF profile allows the inverter to modulate current with low torque ripple. Start-up stresses are defined by a locked-rotor current of 29 Arms which develops 46 Nm of stall torque for break-away loads.
