Product Description:

Rexroth Bosch designed the SF-A4.0172.030-14.070 motor to operate with the series of Servodyn-D inverter. The forceful integration of the motor with an incompatible machine could result in irreparable damage. The industrial SF servo motor is made up of permanent magnets and an integrated tachometer that generates an output voltage corresponding to the nominal speed. The drive electronics provide the necessary voltage and current to the motor based on the voltage value of feedback provided by the tachometer. A 120-degree phase shift is applied to the current to produce sinusoidal EMF.

The SF-A4.0172.030-14.070 motor of A2 dimension and 070 version has a brushless design, locked rotor torque (18 Nm), 3000 rpm speed, and a holding brake. The 070 basic version does not include any mating connector or feather key. The output side of the motor has a flange that is dry-running tight because of IP67 protection. When the input power is off, the motor's holding brake is responsible for maintaining the motor's position. The maximum pre-determined holding torque (30 Nm) of the brake is higher than the motor's continuous torque. In addition, this motor incorporates a plug-in braking module in case the holding brake fails.

The frequency cycle of the SF-A4.0172 motor is up to 8 kHz. The motor with the oil-tightened flange should never be operated dry because of its high level of friction. The rotating shaft seal needs to be taken out in order to operate in a dry environment; but once it is out, it cannot be put back in. In addition to natural convection and radiation, the SF-Servo Motor may also be cooled by forced air (surface cooling).
