Product Description:
The SF-A4.0125.030-14.815 is a permanent-magnet servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SF Servo Motors series. Designed for industrial automation, the unit delivers commanded motion to linear actuators, gearboxes, or direct-drive shafts where precise velocity and position regulation are required. A built-in holding brake maintains the shaft position when power is removed, while an optical feedback device supplies high-count incremental signals to the drive controller for closed-loop control.
The electromagnetic brake is energized with a supply of 24 VDC, an industrial control voltage that simplifies wiring from standard power supplies. When engaged, the brake resists up to 18 Nm of load, holding vertical or safety-critical axes during shutdown. Motor torque scales with armature current, and the torque constant is 1.37 Nm/A, allowing the drive to calculate output torque directly from the commanded amperage. Under continuous operation, the rotor reaches 3000 rpm. Position feedback comes from an encoder that produces 8 million increments per revolution, enabling sub-arc-minute positioning without electronic interpolation.
Dynamic response is influenced by the rotor inertia of 30 × 10^-4 kg·m². This low value enables rapid acceleration while helping the motor respond smoothly to load disturbances. Absolute position error remains within ±20 arcsec, based on the accuracy of the encoder optics and electronics, so the motor can maintain precise positioning in multi-axis assemblies. The winding set is optimized for a DC-link voltage of 670 VDC, allowing high-voltage drives to deliver peak current without requiring excessive conductor size. The mechanical interface uses an IEC square flange measuring 142 mm, providing consistent mounting geometry and shaft alignment with couplings, pulleys, or gear stages. The motor also includes two NTC temperature sensors for monitoring winding temperature during operation. Its locked-rotor current rating is 10.6 A, and the shaft measures 24 mm in diameter by 50 mm in length. This shaft transmits a locked-rotor torque of 14.5 Nm.
