By combining a permanent-magnet rotor with encoder feedback, the unit translates drive commands into precise shaft movement and torque, forming an electromechanical link between the power electronics of an Indramat inverter and the mechanical load. This arrangement supports accurate starts, stops, and speed changes during repetitive machine cycles.
