Product Description:
The SF-A4.0125.030-04.056 servo motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the SF Servo Motors series. This AC synchronous unit is intended for industrial automation platforms where accurate velocity and position control are required, such as pick-and-place robots, gantry drives, and indexing tables. It converts three-phase drive current into controlled torque, and a built-in electromagnetic brake secures the load whenever the controller removes power. The housing is prepared for a 142 mm mounting flange and accepts a 24 mm keyed shaft to integrate quickly with standard transmission components.
Its holding system operates at 24 VDC and draws 0.7 A when energized, so low-power brake drivers can be used without excess heat load. Once powered, the brake can withstand up to 18 Nm of counter-torque, maintaining axis position against process forces and gravity. During initial energization, the stator delivers 14.5 Nm of locked-rotor torque, giving machinery the impulse needed to overcome static friction and bring attached masses into motion. The motor has a torque constant of 1.37 Nm/A, enabling drive software to translate commanded current into predictable mechanical output.
When rotation is underway, the motor reaches a rated speed of 3000 rpm, yet it can momentarily accept a locked-rotor current of 10.6 A during rapid acceleration without exceeding design limits. Including the encoder, total reflected inertia is 30 × 10⁻⁴ kgm², producing a balance between fast servo response and smooth steady-state motion. With the brake installed, overall mass is 17.7 kg, which is relevant for cantilevered mounts and axis load calculations. A DIN 332-DS M8 center hole and an A8×7×40 feather key are provided on the Ø24 × 50 mm shaft to simplify coupling alignment and torque transfer.
