The Bosch SF-A4.0125.015-00.000 is a 1500 rpm AC servo motor designed to be used alongside the Servodyn-D inverter system. These servo motors are designed to be permanently excited motors with electronic commutation allowing the switching of the coil to be controlled electronically. The SF-A4.0125.015-00.000 features a Single Turn Absolute Encoder, meaning the motor can calibrate or estimate its position by turning one complete rotation. The Servodyn-D inverter system can automatically adjust to the settings of the SF-A4.0125.015-00.000 servo motor instead of manually adjusting it.
This particular model features a feather key and a feather keyway at the shaft end allowing the servo to transmit torque to other components attached to the motor shaft. However, for high-end demands, it is recommended to use a smooth shaft as a keyway shaft may end up breaking or bending under multi-axis stress conditions. The motor has bearings that can run smoothly without maintenance for up to 20000 hours. Under heavy loads, the bearings might be required to be replaced or maintained more frequently.
