Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the SF-A3.0093.030-00.018, a permanent-magnet motor in the SF Servo Motors series. This rotary device converts regulated current from a drive controller into precise shaft motion for indexing tables, gantry axes, and forming presses. By combining power terminals, feedback, and sealing in one housing, it supports closed-loop positioning while simplifying machine wiring and enclosure layout. That layout can also reduce the amount of separate hardware needed around the motor body.

The servo accepts a bus voltage up to 670 VDC, so the surrounding drive system must use insulation and connectors suited to that electrical level. At nominal load, the shaft turns at 3000 rpm, offering a balance between fast cycle times and controlled mechanical loading. Each ampere produces 1.35 Nm/A of electromagnetic torque, which makes current demand easier to relate to output torque during axis setup. Mounting uses a square 116 mm flange that fits common machine interfaces and supports accurate alignment at the motor face. Position feedback comes from an integrated absolute encoder, allowing the controller to know shaft angle immediately after power-up without a reference move. Continuous-duty sound pressure is 58 dB(A), which supports use in production areas without special acoustic treatment from the motor itself.

During stall tests, the windings can draw 6.0 A and hold the shaft with 8.1 Nm of static torque, which helps match the motor to the mechanical load and the protective hardware in the system. The housing carries an IP67 protection rating, keeping out dust and tolerating temporary immersion when the installation environment is demanding. It also withstands mechanical shocks up to 6 g without positional drift, which is helpful where the axis sees abrupt machine motion or impact-related vibration. Rotor inertia is 16 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², allowing quick acceleration without unusually high peak current demand. Two NTC temperature sensors in the stator windings let the controller reduce output before the thermal limit is exceeded, helping preserve stable motion and repeatable operation over long duty cycles.
