Product Description:

The SF-A3.0042.030-14.000 by Rexroth Bosch is a brushless servo motor. Its brushless and compact design makes it unique, low maintenance, efficient, and highly reliable. In SF motors, the control winding current results in a lower torque ripple. Torque ripple is damaging for the motor because it causes noise and vibrations as the motor shaft rotates, leading to a periodic rise or fall in output torque. Brushless motors are used in a wide range of applications, including power tools, packaging equipment, consumer goods, appliances, and healthcare equipment.

The SF-A3.0042.030-14.000 includes some basic features like convection cooling (optional surface cooling), stator, rotor, holding brake, and STG/MTG absolute encoders. The electronic commutation method is used for improved performance. All motor phases are constantly driven by current through electronic commutation. A sinusoidal current is produced by the drive electronics through each phase, which is spaced 120 degrees apart. This drive method is frequently used for high-efficiency and high-performance drives because it reduces vibration and acoustic noise in addition to torque ripple.

At 2.3 A current and a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, the locked rotor torque is 3.7 Nm. The permanent magnet-based holding brake has a 2.0 (120 °C) Nm transferable holding torque and a 0.12 x 10-4 kg m2 moment of inertia. The inverter module's "brake control" signal activates the brakes when the axis stops turning. Brake disengagement may be delayed due to capacitive effects on the holding brake's 24 V lead. To prevent such interference, brake filters can be ordered separately. The time between the supply voltage impression and the complete brake release is 30 ms.
