Product Description:
The SF-A1.0016.060-04.050 is a brushless servo motor made by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the SF Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop position and speed control, it converts drive current into precise mechanical rotation for pick-and-place axes, packaging machinery, and other automation stations. It includes an incremental encoder and a built-in holding brake so motion controllers can command rapid indexing while keeping the load secure at standstill. The combined feedback and braking functions support accurate starts, stops, and repeatable positioning during automatic operation.
At its rated operating point, the shaft reaches 6000 rpm, a speed that supports high linear throughput when the motor is coupled to ball screws or timing belts. Electromagnetic conversion is indicated by a torque constant of 0.67 Nm/A, so the drive can produce useful torque with relatively modest current demand during continuous motion. When the rotor is prevented from turning, the controller may deliver a locked-rotor current of 2.4 A to generate 1.6 Nm of stall torque without thermal overload. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 0.83 × 10⁻⁴ kgm², which helps the motor respond quickly to speed changes and short indexing moves.
The integrated spring-applied brake is energized with 24 VDC and provides 2.0 Nm of holding torque to secure vertical loads after power is removed. Brake release occurs in 30 ms, while engagement completes in 20 ms, allowing the axis to stop safely without excessive delay. Position feedback comes from an optical encoder with a resolution of 8 million increments per revolution, and its ±20 arc-second accuracy supports fine indexing on multi-axis gantries. The motor also has a 4 mm keyway and an 11 mm shaft diameter, which simplify coupling to standard pulleys or couplings. Its overall length with the brake installed is 271.5 mm, which helps the unit fit into compact machine layouts.
