The Bosch Rexroth SD-B5.250.030-00.000 is a high-performance permanent-field servomotor in the SD series. The motor works with a compatible inverter in a Servodyn drive system. In the vertical position, the device can be installed only in the IM V3 orientation. The unit has Class F insulating material in accordance with VDE 0530. The tacho and commutation sensors of the motor are integrated into its non-driving end. The phase currents in the inverter are controlled by the commutation sensor. The product is not equipped with a disk brake. The user should not dismantle the device for any reason.
Before the user operates the SD motor initially, the motor-module combination should be checked using the type label. Connecting the motor to a module that is not approved will restrict operation and can also damage the motor. It should be noted that the power supply to the device must be disconnected before performing any installation or connection work. Due to permanent magnet excitation, the terminals of the tacho and motor are live when the rotor is driven. The shaft of the unit comes with a keyway and a featherkey. Hence, it is more suitable for less stringent requirements.
The SD motor features maintenance-free operation because its tacho has a brushless construction. The device has high resistance against demagnetization.
