Product Description:

The SD-B5.250.020-05.000 produced by Bosch Rexroth Company is a brushless servo motor that is regulated by an SM..-T servo module. Together with a supply module, the SM..-T produces an inverter system that has a modular construction. The connection between the module and the SD-B5.250.020-05.000 motor is made through plug-in connectors and through terminals W2, U2, and V2 on the servo module. The connection size is capped at 2.5mm2. The SD-B5.250.020-05.000 should be connected to the SM 17/35-T servo module for optimum performance. It is used to control the motor speed and torque.

The SM 17/35-T module features a protection standard of IP 00, 1000m maximum installation height, and ambient operating and storage temperature of 0 to 55 degrees and -25 to 70 degrees. It has a 22W power supply, 460V rated peak current and 17A rated current. The regulating and control unit of the module contains features such as motor feedback, control inputs, control outputs, and test points that enable it to seamlessly regulate the motor. Other optional modules include diagnostics, Tandem drive, backlash compensation, short circuit braking, and ramp generator module. To ensure the SD-B5.250.020-05.000 is running smoothly, the SM 17/35-T is equipped with current regulator functioning.

Some of these monitoring functions include PSU fault, module fault, tacho fault, speed monitoring, and commutation monitoring among others. For example, the module fault (Mf) is produced if the motor connection is interrupted or short-circuited. If the SD-B5.250.020-05.000 receives maximum current for more than 2 seconds without moving the motor blocked function is initiated reducing the current by 50% until the cause is resolved.
