The S20-DO-16/1 is a Digital Output Module designed for the IndraControl S20 station. It provides a reliable output of digital signals for automation tasks. This module features short circuit and overload protection.
This S20-DO-16/1 digital output module includes 16 digital outputs and operates with 500 mA per channel. Utilizing an external fuse, the maximum output current that any one device is allowed to have is 8 A. The outputs are compatible with actuators that use a single wire. The nominal ohmic load for each channel is 12 W the inductive load is up to 12 VA (1.2 H), and the lamp load is 12 W. Switching on or off with a minimum needed load of 10 k? results in a signal delay of less than 100 us. The switching frequency of the module can reach up to 10,000 operations per second for standard loads, 1 operation per second for inductive loads, and 16 operations per second for lamp loads. In the event of overload, the module shuts down and restarts automatically. However, inductive overloads can destroy the output. The output voltage in the off state is up to 1 V, and the current is limited to 300 uA. The reverse voltage protection handles pulses up to 0.5 A for 1 second.
The Bosch S20-DO-16/1 digital output module sends error messages for overload or short circuit conditions to the higher level control system. The circuit interruption induces a voltage between - 25.8 V and - 15 V. The short circuit and overload protection of the model are electronic, and shutdown occurs at 0.7 A.
