The unit is designed for cabinet or machine-frame mounting and pairs with Rexroth inverters that require an external resistor within the specified resistance range.
The fixed resistance value is 2.7 Ω, allowing a compatible drive to limit current while still achieving the required braking torque. Under a nominal power load of 160 kW, the resistor can be energized for a maximum of 18 seconds within a 120-second load cycle. These operating periods correspond to an application duty cycle of 15% SD, which protects the resistor windings from thermal overload. The enclosure carries an IP23 rating, providing protection against particles larger than 12.5 mm and water spray at angles of up to 60 degrees from vertical during indoor installation.
