It converts that energy into heat, protecting inverters and maintaining DC-bus voltage stability during industrial automation cycles.
This model can absorb up to 30 kW of regenerative power, and its fixed resistance of 10 Ω controls the peak current at the rated DC-link voltage. An operating factor of 40% SD is paired with a load cycle of 120 seconds, allowing the element to remain energized for up to 48 seconds during each cycle. The remaining 72 seconds provide the required cooling interval before the next braking event. The permissible conductor cross section is 16 mm², so connected cables must accommodate this size to prevent overheating.
