Installed between a PWM servo drive and the motor leads, the unit converts the converter's rectangular output voltage into a near-sinusoidal waveform so motor insulation, bearings, and cabling experience lower electrical stress in automated machinery that must run quietly and with minimal electromagnetic interference. Because it is a passive device, it smooths the waveform without relying on software-based control or separate feedback signals.

In normal service, the filter accepts a three-phase input of 3 x AC 380 to 400 V, and it is rated for a continuous line current of 20 A. Operation remains stable when the input voltage varies within a ±15 % band, allowing the network to ride through voltage swings without core saturation. It supports fundamental frequencies from 0 to 200 Hz, letting the connected converter drive both low-speed and high-speed machines.
