The RZS01.1-5-045 sinusoidal output filter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RZS Sinusoidal Filters series. Placed between a PWM frequency converter and an AC motor, the unit reshapes the stepped voltage waveform into a smooth sinusoid, which reduces winding stress, bearing currents, and acoustic noise in assembly lines and packaging cells. The filter is built as design version 1, so it fits directly into compatible Rexroth control cabinets and connects to drive families that require sinusoidal conditioning on the motor side. This arrangement is useful in installations where long motor cables can increase reflected voltage peaks at the motor terminals.

The device is rated for a supply of 3 x AC 500 V, so its iron cores and insulation clearances are sized for the overvoltage peaks that can result from long cable reflections. A continuous phase current of 45 A sets its thermal loading, and forced-air cooling inside the cabinet is recommended when the converter operates at full torque. The attenuation curve is tuned to a switching carrier of 8 kHz, which helps reduce differential-mode noise without causing a large voltage drop at the motor. Within a passband of 0 ... 100 Hz, the reactive elements present a nearly resistive impedance that helps preserve motor torque accuracy across the normal operating range. Total copper and core losses are limited to 280 W, allowing the filter to share an enclosure with other control components when cabinet ventilation is adequate.

Drive speed references can still be programmed across the normal operating range because the filter corner frequency remains above the highest fundamental component. Line variations of ±10 % are tolerated, so performance remains stable on networks with moderate supply fluctuation. Matching to converter power class 037 keeps the filter impedance aligned with the drive output stage. The accessory carries the product line identifier 01, which indicates the first generation of RZS passive components.
