The RZF02.1-4-075 is a radio interference filter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RZF Line Filters series. As a passive front-end component, it is installed ahead of frequency converters to attenuate conducted electromagnetic noise and to keep emissions within industrial automation limits. By providing clean mains power, the filter protects sensitive drive electronics and helps multiple converters on a common bus meet EMC requirements. It is placed between the incoming supply and the converter input, where it reduces high-frequency noise before it can spread through the cabinet wiring or back into the plant mains.

It is designed for three-phase supplies between 3 x AC 380 … 480 V ±10 %, which matches the typical distribution used for medium-power drives. When the connected converter runs at a 4 kHz switching frequency, the filter carries 149 A continuously. The allowable current drops to 98.5 A at 10 kHz and to 88 A at 12 kHz because higher PWM rates increase core and copper losses. The unit therefore serves converters from the 55 kW and 75 kW power class without saturation. Internal layout code Design 1 and Line 02 identify the mechanical frame and terminal orientation used within the series, which helps the filter fit standard cabinet arrangements.

Operation is limited to IP20 locations, so the filter must be placed inside a switchgear cabinet where dust and water exposure are controlled. Its permissible ambient temperature range is 0 °C to 40 °C, corresponding to environmental class 3K3, and continuous service outside this range is not allowed without derating. The core material and capacitor bank are tuned for 50/60 Hz mains so harmonic attenuation remains stable in both European and North American grids. Despite the electrical ratings, the assembly weighs only 5.6 kg, which reduces load on vertical mounting plates. All terminals are touch-safe, which supports straightforward wiring while helping protect against accidental contact at the connection points.
