The RD52.1-4B-003-L-V1-FW is a Bosch Rexroth universal three-phase drive. It is based on a converter that includes a built-in brake chopper. The input rating of the drive is 380 to 480 Volts AC (three-phase). At rated input the drive output is rated for 3 kilowatts. The drive also operates at 200 to 230 Volts AC input and delivers 1.5 kilowatts output. RD52 drives are compatible with Bosch induction and synchronous motors. The modular drive hardware and firmware allow adaptation to multiple applications. Typical application for the RD52.1-4B-003-L-V1-FW include chemical and process technology, assembly systems, handling systems and machine tools. Bosch has provided support for 24 Volts standby power on the drive system. This feature allows control electronics to operate in the absence of main AC supply. However this features does require an external 24 Volts DC supply.

Standby power also allows the RD52.1-4B-003-L-V1-FW to be parameterized when the AC supply is not available. Drive commissioning can be performed from an operator panel or from a PC with compatible configuration software. Radio suppression filters are used to reduce harmonics fed back into the line supply.
