The RD51.1-5N-090-L-DL-FW is one of the latest and most sophisticated industrial production devices manufactured by Rexroth Indramat to accurately control automation systems. This drive controller is an environmentally friendly device that does not generate a lot of noise and is free of dangerous chemicals such as silicon and asbestos. The enclosure of this controller is specially designed to prevent the interference of any solid foreign materials with an external diameter larger than 12 millimeters; it, however, provides no protection against the penetration of liquid substances; for optimum protection, the drive controller should be installed in an external control cabinet that meets at least the IP54 protection class. The RD51.1-5N-090-L-DL-FW industrial drive controller contains an operator panel made up of a display unit and pressure-sensitive keys; this operator panel provides industrial operators with a reliable means of monitoring and controlling the operation of the servo system even when it is operating.

The RD51.1-5N-090-L-DL-FW industrial drive controller contains a heat sink and air blower, which work together to regulate the internal temperature of the controller via forced ventilation. This drive controller requires a rated current of about 168 amperes for optimum operation; however, it can also withstand an overload of 200 percent for 0.5 seconds and 170 percent for 1 second. The torque rise time of the RD51.1-5N-090-L-DL-FW drive controller is about 0.3 milliseconds, while the current rise time is about 0.1 milliseconds.
