Product Description:
The RMK12.1-IBS-BKL module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RECO Drive Modules series. It mounts in a RECO rack and serves as an Interbus-S bus coupler, routing field data between distributed I/O stations and higher-level drive controls. The module links remote signals to the rack so control data and status information can move between the fieldbus and connected system modules. By translating Interbus telegrams to the internal backplane format, the unit supports networked motion functions while keeping cabinet wiring compact.
The module is energized by a regulated supply of 24 VDC, delivered through a dedicated power plug that also carries protective earth. A replaceable fuse rated at 2.5 A protects the internal logic against overcurrent. Field power is supplied through a 3 x 0.75 mm² cable, and the matching receptacle is a 3-pin connector with a spring clip. System alarms such as fuse loss or undervoltage are forwarded through a separate 2-pin alarm connector, allowing the rack to receive a discrete fault signal. Network traffic enters and leaves through two circular sockets marked IN and OUT, which support continuous bus routing without additional hubs. This connection layout keeps the supply, alarm, and communication interfaces clearly separated on the module.
The communication layer uses INTERBUS and supports a maximum segment length of 400 m between active repeaters before signal refresh is required. That distance supports remote I/O placement across larger machine sections when repeaters are installed where needed. Six diagnostic LEDs identified as RC, BA, RD, LD, E DIAG, RECONF indicate module status, bus activity, and reconfiguration requests during operation. The front-panel indicators provide immediate visual feedback during startup, normal data exchange, and fault conditions. This makes line faults, undervoltage conditions, and bus reconfiguration events easier to identify from the front of the rack.
