The RMB12.2-04 carrier is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RECO Drive Modules series. It functions as a base frame for modular drive stations, allowing multiple electronic cards to share a common power and data backbone inside a cabinet. By combining a mechanical mounting surface with an integrated local bus, the unit streamlines installation of motion-control hardware and reduces field wiring in automated machining cells, packaging lines, and other industrial systems. Cards mounted on the carrier can be grouped in one station so control, interface, and power sections remain organized in a compact rack.
The aluminum housing has a width of 182 mm, a chassis depth of 56 mm, and a height of 217 mm, so the enclosure footprint can be planned precisely in crowded panels. Fixing clips engage a 35 mm top rail, permitting rapid snap-on assembly without additional brackets. Internal communication takes place over a Bus Board, which distributes supply voltage and parallel control signals to the plug-in cards without separate ribbon harnesses. These mounting and dimensional features allow direct front access to the installed modules while keeping rack depth shallow enough for standard enclosure doors.
The station architecture is arranged in 4 carrier rows, and each row supports up to 4 modules for power converters, logic interfaces, or relay cards.
