The RMA12.2-16-RE230-200 is an output relay module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RECO Drive Modules series. The unit works with Indramat automation racks to send discrete output signals to field devices such as contactors, solenoid valves, and status indicators. By routing controller commands through isolated relay contacts, it provides electrical separation between low-level logic and the higher voltages present in machinery. This separation helps reduce the transfer of electrical noise back into the control system and supports safer signal interfacing in automated equipment.

This RMA relay module is energized from a control supply of 230 Veff. Internally, sixteen outputs are available, providing 16 independent switching channels for machine or process functions. The contacts are arranged in 2 × 8 groups, so each side of the board can be wired and fused independently. The grouped layout also keeps external wiring organized when multiple loads are connected in the same rack segment. A maximum load of 2 A per channel accommodates lamps, small motors, or clutches, while the minimum recommended load is 5 mA for high-impedance circuits. Each channel uses a potential-free relay contact, which means the common terminal is not tied to the internal supply. This allows AC or DC loads to be switched as needed without creating ground loops. That arrangement is useful when a cabinet mixes signaling circuits and small auxiliary loads. The narrow format also lets the module sit beside drives, analog I/O, or communication cards in compact control cabinets.
