The RMA02.2-32-DC024-050 RECO output module from Bosch Rexroth Indramat is a digital output module with 24 V DC output. The unit is a switches type of output with a FET transistor. It weighs in at 300 grams and as such is not too heavy or large, comparing well with other modules in its class.
This output module communicates with its connected device via transmitting data, status information and giving commands. It is used for data buffering so that data transfer speeds can match the speed of the memory of the CPU or any other connected devices. This helps to resolve problems like tying up of memory when the device speed does not match the data transfer speed of its connected devices.
The use of the RMA02.2-32-DC024-050 is necessary since the CPU speed is most often higher than the speed of connected peripheral devices. The output module can serve as a data buffer where data is stored and its speed is regulated to meet the speed of the devices that the data is being transferred between. The unit thereby acts as a helping hand to the process of data transfer without any errors due to mismatched speeds.
The RMA02.2-32-DC024-050 can also be used for error detection as it checks the status of connected devices and feeds the PC with information about their status.
