The RECO RMA0.2-16-DC24-200 is an output module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RECO Drive Modules series. Installed on the common backplane next to motion or logic cards, it translates low-level drive or PLC commands into switched field power for actuators such as relays, solenoids, and indicator lamps. This lets the control system switch external loads through the module instead of adding separate relay hardware. It also keeps field-side switching separate from the control electronics on the rack. Its pluggable format expands digital output capacity without adding unnecessary wiring to the controller.

It provides 16 discrete outputs arranged as 2 x 8 isolated channel groups, so two process groups can be energized without sharing a return. Each channel uses a FET transistor switch, giving low on-state voltage drop and fast turn-off compared with mechanical relays. The module can source up to 2 A/output while maintaining a nominal bus voltage of 24 VDC for common industrial actuator circuits. Internal current limiting helps clamp overloads, and short-circuit protection disconnects the affected path before damage occurs. Because voltage monitoring is handled on the card, the rack controller does not need separate diagnostics wiring to detect a loss of supply on the output stage.

The module measures 41.3 mm in width, 81 mm in depth, and 192 mm in height, so it fits dense cabinet layouts without taking much front-panel space. Its narrow housing also leaves room for neighboring modules in compact RECO racks. The switching policy follows the Active 1 convention, meaning a high logic level on the backplane enables the corresponding field output. This behavior supports mixed sourcing and sinking architectures used in packaging, material-handling, and printing machinery. With voltage monitoring, current limiting, and short-circuit shutdown handled on the card, external fusing can be minimized and fault isolation stays localized to the module.
