The RECO MTS-R01.1 MTS-R01.1-M1-B1-FW is an automation control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RECO Drive Modules series. It occupies one slot on a backplane and functions as a programmable logic controller that also manages fieldbus communication, so it links decentralized sensors and actuators to higher-level motion drives. In a production cell, the module exchanges process data over an Interbus network, simplifying distributed I/O wiring and reducing cabinet space.

The module is powered from a low-voltage control supply of 24 VDC, and its internal electronics draw up to 0.7 A, which is low enough to share a standard machine-control power rail. Communication with remote stations is handled by the integrated INTERBUS-S Master Module; this master cycles telegrams so that each slave’s data image is refreshed deterministically. Local configuration or diagnostics can be performed through the multi-protocol RS232/RS422/RS485 programming interface, allowing connection to a computer or operator terminal. The unit runs in PLC mode without a coprocessor, so all sequence logic is processed directly inside the base module rather than being offloaded to an auxiliary CPU. Separate D-SUB connectors are provided: a 9-pin female socket carries the Interbus trunk, while a 15-pin female socket handles programming and diagnostic traffic.

The module has a depth of 156 mm, a height of 192 mm, and a width of 41.5 mm, so multiple modules can line up tightly on an RMB02 module carrier. Only one carrier slot is used, leaving up to fifteen additional RECO I/O modules to be attached in the same rack. The Interbus master can address 4,096 decentralized inputs and 4,096 decentralized outputs, matching the limits of the network protocol. The protection rating is IP20, which is suitable for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet where ambient air is clean and dry, and the supply connectors remain within touch-safe boundaries.
